Dr. Michael Banh, DPM

Dr. Michael Banh specializes in podiatric medicine and surgery. He graduated from California State University with a Bachelor of Science majoring in Cellular and Developmental Biology with a minor in Chemistry. Dr. Banh earned his degree in Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Kent State University, College of Podiatric Medicine. 

He completed his three year surgical residency as chief resident at Southwestern Vermont Medical Center, Bennington, VT where he specialized in podiatric medicine and surgery with the added credential in reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery. He currently holds hospital privileges at Jefferson Hospital. Dr. Michael Banh is Board Certified by American Board of Podiatric Medicine.

Dr. Michael Banh is a compassionate physician and understands the importance of keeping his patients on their feet. He recognizes that every patient's problems are unique and his treatments are tailored to fit each individual's life style. Along with his surgical training, Dr. Banh is also experienced in wound care management, treating biomechanical/musculoskeletal issues with bracing and orthotics, sport injuries, and diabetic foot care.

In his free time, Dr. Banh enjoys the outdoors, fishing, hiking, and staying active. He enjoys volunteering his free time and his most valuable experience was his involvement as the Pharmacy Coordinator for Flying Samaritans for 3 years, where he helped operate a free medical clinic at El Hongo, Mexico.

Danny Phan
DPM, MBA, MPH, MS, FACPM, FASPS

Dr. Danny Phan (Board Certified, ABPM) graduated from Rutgers University, obtained his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Kent State University, and attended graduate school at Columbia University. He completed his three years residency at St Barnabas Hospital in Bronx, NY covering both podiatric and orthopedic services at a regional trauma center. He is a fellow of the American College of Podiatric Medicine (FACPM) and a fellow of the American Society of Podiatric Surgeons (FASPS). He is also the communicator director (foot care) for the American Diabetes Association.

He is currently a foot and ankle podiatric surgeon/partner for the NJ Podiatric Physicians & Surgeons Group with ownership at five office locations.


Interests:

Outside of work, he has served as a board member for many organizations. He was a former board member for the Institute of Podiatric Excellence and Development. He is currently a board member for the New Jersey Podiatric Physicians and Surgeons Group (NJPPSG), New Jersey Podiatric Medical Society (NJPMS), American Society of Podiatric Surgeons (Fellow, ASPS), and Rutgers Touchdown Club. He is an associate member of the Fraternal Order of Police (for 23 years). He is also a member of the American Podiatric Medical Association (APMA), American College of Podiatric Medicine (Fellow, ACPM), American Board of Podiatric Medicine (Diplomat, ABPM), American Academy of Podiatric Sports Medicine (member, AAPSM), American Diabetes Association (member, ADA), the Rutgers Club, the Rutgers University Alumni Association, the Columbia University Alumni Club of NJ, and the local chambers of commerce in both Edison & Metuchen.

As an educator, he has contributed to the Compendium of Podiatric Medicine & Surgery in 2012. He has written articles on practice management for Podiatry Management. He is currently on the Education Committee for the ASPS and CME committee for NJPMS. He is also an accomplished lecturer locally and nationally.

Special Interest: diabetes, sports medicine, and biomechanics.
